Yoga Nidra, the state of dynamic sleep, is a technique that teaches us how to relax consciously inducing complete physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. During this practice, the state of relaxation is reached by turning inwards, away from external experiences and can be applied in many ways to better overall health.
In this three part Yoga Nidra series, we will approach the practice in regards to three different areas of benefit:
increasing relaxation through Yoga Nidra to lessen the sympathetic(excitatory “fight or flight” response) by increasing parasympathetic (relaxatory) function
ways in which Yoga Nidra can be utilized as a form of medical therapy in regards to acute and chronic conditions, it’s rehabilitative properties, as well as its use as a preventative measure.
Sharpening the Mind:
ways in which Yoga Nidra supports mental focus, learning, and increased intuitive clarity and memory
