In this workshop you’ll explore creative and effective ways to enrich your practice using one of the most versatile tools in the Iyengar tradition, the chair. Together we will work through a full range of asanas, standing poses, seated work and twists, forward and backward extensions, as well as inversions. Discover how the chair can make challenging shapes more accessible and refine those you already know. You will learn to:
- Build confidence and improve balance across a variety of poses
- Stretch more fully and experience greater spinal elongation
- Hold poses longer to feel their depth with clarity
- Explore asanas in playful, creative and insightful ways
Workshop is open to all levels of students seeking fresh, supportive and intelligent ways to incorporate the chair into yoga practice.
