Join us for a transformative journey into the Brahma Viharas, the four “divine abodes” of the heart – Loving-Kindness, Compassion, Sympathetic Joy, and Equanimity – where you will learn to dismantle emotional barriers and armoring and cultivate a boundless mind/heart. In this immersive workshop, we move to practical embodiment, exploring how meditation can take the form of profound heart-based practices; by learning to open the heart center, you will not only cultivate emotional balance but significantly deepen your overall meditation practice. You will be guided through specific sequences that extend intentions of goodwill from yourself to loved ones, neutral persons, difficult relationships, and ultimately all sentient beings, leaving you with the tools to rejoice in others’ success, hold space for pain without being overwhelmed, and navigate life’s challenges with deep resilience.
About Asyl:
Asyl’s journey spans over a decade of rigorous practice, beginning with the Kriya and Tantra yoga traditions and later deepening through samatha and vipassana practices rooted in Theravada Buddhism. After many retreats and years of dedicated training, he chose to fully devote himself to exploring the nature of the mind, undergoing intensive training at Korinji – Rinzai Zen Monastery. Today, he continues to practice within the zen tradition, enriching his path with training in the mystical teachings of Sufism, non-dual meditation teacher programs, and somatic teacher trainings.
