The Full Moon is powerful. It magnifies all around us and within us. It’s effect is strong enough to influence oceans. As we are mostly made up of water, the moon cycle affects us as well. The full moon time is optimal for deep rest, rejuvenation and healing.
Settling into each pose with cozy props for support, creates space for peace and tranquility. Nanci is a certified massage therapist and a Reiki Practitioner. She offers hands-on massage and Reiki during the workshop (if your desire) for a deeper experience. All poses are done on the floor and held for 10-15 minutes with the support of the props for deep relaxation and repose. This practice is ideal for beginners, injuries, arthritis, inflammation and for anyone needing some relaxation. You will leave the session with a deep sense of calm and renewal. Resting in each pose pacifies the “fight or flight” reaction to stress and restores balance to your nervous system. Most students experience a profound sense of calm, balance, and peace which continues long after the workshop has ended.
No prior experience necessary. Dress comfortably in layers. Have any food two hours prior to class.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to gather your props.
About Nanci:
Nanci began her yoga practice in 1990 and has been teaching since 2002. Under the tutelage of Cheri Clampett and Arturo Peal, she achieved her certification as a Restorative Yoga teacher in 2009. Using her intuitive skills as a massage therapist, a Reiki practitioner, and a long time meditator, Nanci brings decades of experience and expertise to her classes and workshops with compassion and care.
