In “Shoulder Shakti- Towards Inversions” Kent will guide teachers and students with a grounded foundation in asana fundamentals through an immersive experience aimed at deepening their understanding of the anatomy of the shoulder girdle and the transformative potential in evolving an inversion practice. Learn how to refine and safely approach headstand, shoulder stand and arm balances (hand stand, and fore arm balance) utilizing the principals of yoga as “art and science” and “skill in action”. We will practice movements and specific drills to ensure a safe way to enter the practice beginning with dog pose.
It is appropriate for students with a minimum of 6 months to 1 year of dedicated practice. Advanced, intermediate students and instructors will benefit greatly from assessment and hands on adjustments.
