We are now open at two locations and offer a variety of classes and timings at both locations. Please check our live schedule for more details.
The month of December was really good for me. My Mexico vacation put an extra charge in my body and I got a lot of work completed by mid December; and then the last two weeks of the month was complete chill time. Lazy mornings, lots of sleep, eating, watching movies, cooking and making sure I was away from any kind of shopping.
On Christmas day, a tradition we started in 2011, where Ron and I cook the food that my mother-in-law used to make and we honor her life and her amazing cooking. We cook together, chatting about our childhood memories, funny stories of our parents with lots of music playing at the back. We invite friends who actually wait for this day and have an evening filled with food, drinks, laughter and games.
New years has always been simple for us. Eat a good meal, a few drinks, and sleep early. But what we wait for is our new years day class that Ron and I co-teach. The fun begins when we start to prepare for this class; creating the sequence and the playlist. This time we put out the line – Come share your yoga bond with Anuja and Ron – and yes the playlist was James Bond. The class was packed, yes crowded but I like to say it was full of amazing energy. Each one came in the cold, kind of sleepy, and some a little hung over, but we all had a blast.
Any resolutions? No, this year I have decided to make it all about intentions. An intention is a determination that comes from a place of faith and connects with the universe. My biggest intention is to have faith in myself and my situation and let go of doubt. A beautiful quote by Khalil Gibran – ‘Doubt is a pain too lonely to know that faith is his twin brother’.
Our winter schedule is effective this coming Saturday, Jan 10th. There are some teacher changes and some class style changes. The most important change to note is that all 5:30 pm classes at the Blossom Hill studio change to 5:45 pm. We know that most of you come from work and are either rushed or cannot make it. Therefore, for this reason we are going to try this change for this quarter.
All our teachers are coming back to teach this year with your feedback in mind. They all read your feedback and want to see how they can improve and make your class experience even better.
JOAN CHANPONG IS BACK – Yes, she is taking over the Saturday 10:45 AM Hatha class at Blossom Hill. She starts on Jan 10th. I for one am so excited to have her back.
Sarah, who has taught the Sunday evening classes for the last three years is finally giving up those two classes. Don’t be upset, but grateful that she gave up her Sundays for all those who have enjoyed her class. I know you will miss her, but we have got a really good teacher to replace her. Sarah will continue her Yoga Tone class on Fridays.
I can go on but let’s list some happenings in January for now.
- Winter schedule changes starting Jan 10th
- 30-Day Challenge starts – Jan 20th to Feb 18th
- Restorative Workshop with Nanci Tudish – Jan 24th from 1 to 4 PM at the Via Valiente studio
- Acro Yoga once a month with Amy Impellizzeri- Last Saturday of every month ( 1 to 2:30 PM) at the Blossom Hill studio, from Jan through May
- New teachers – Keri Wenzel and Patricia Kent
